Today we should remember all of those who have lost their lives in defense of the United States of America.  Whether you believe the cause righteous, the honor and character of those who have served should never be in doubt.  They honor us with their service and humble us with their sacrifice.

In modern times, nations have developed the practice of having a symbolic Tomb of the Unknown Soldier that represents the war grave of those unidentified soldiers.
